Does Lymphatic Drainage Affect Skin And How To Improve It From Within

Skin most often reflects what goes on inside our body, particularly the gut. There will always be exceptions like some who follow a poor lifestyle, yet have a great skin and I can go grrrrrr at the sight of such. I mean I invest a lot of time in caring for my body and skin, it’s not fair right, with what they can get away!

Genes can be the culprit, or the blessing in some other cases. But, we are not playing the blame game here. We are taking accountability and giving our skin the care it needs, whether we are endowed with a glowy one or a dull, dehydrated one. My mom had the most gorgeous skin, while my dad quite the opposite! So what I got is – equal portions of both!!

My blog, this one, is about the inner and outer connect, between the organs in our body and the skin that covers and protects them all. Do we have to obsess over our skin? Yes, in my view because for one, it shields our inner organs and two, it makes first impressions. Who doesn’t want to make good first impressions?

In order for our body to function at its best, all our body organs are to be at their optimal best. Any lesser would end up in health issues, big or small as the case might be. Our body goes through oxidative stress 24/7 and inflammation is always lurking round the corner. Consuming nutritious food and pumping the body with antioxidants to counter the free radicals is the only way out.

How Do Toxins Appear In The Body?

There is a lot of talk on toxins in our bodies, which need to be expelled on a daily basis. But, before that, a few lines on how toxins manifest in our bodies in the first place. From a general perspective, a toxin is matter that the body is either unable to digest or get rid of. Such matter when left un-expelled can lead to diseases.

Toxins can be born out of the natural, biological waste from the cells and the internal processes in the body. Waste bacteria, resulting from undigested food add to the load.

The Detox Process:

We have these organs in our body that are capable of detoxifying our system

  • Liver and Kidneys
  • Skin
  • Lymphatic Draining System

Liver and kidneys are the body’s major detoxifying organs.
Skin is the secondary detoxifying organ.

When the liver and kidneys do not function at their best as a natural process, the skin is called upon to assist in the job of moving the toxic load out. This can be a smooth process quite often, but it can traumatise the skin in the form of eruptions or rashes. So, skincare addicts and junkies, its best to keep our insides working well so that what we treasure most stays soft and glowing – our skin!

The Lymphatic Draining System is a very important process in the body which helps clean up the skin tissues of all toxins. But, its not always so simple. The lymphatic system can get clogged or congested when the fluids do not flow properly.

What Causes Lymphatic Congestion?
An overload of toxins in the form of waste and debris due to poor lifestyle and choice of foods like processed foods.
An over-exposure to environmental toxins can also trigger the blocking of lymphatic nodes and that’s a breeding ground for skin issues.

The digestive tract is home to about 80% of the lymphatic system. Hence, digestive issues can throw the skin and its top layer, the barrier into a tizzy. You see the connection now? So next time, you have skin woes, try to first look within and get to the root of the problem – the gut.

The Lymphatic System is made up of the superficial and deeper levels. The superficial system drains the head, neck, breasts and the skin into the deep system, which in turn drains all the deep vital organs including the digestive tract. That, in turn drains into the liver and is eliminated through the colon. Ideally, this entire flow needs to be a smooth sailing affair. But, when it isn’t, our skin starts talking and shows symptoms of a malfunction in the form of skin issues.

There are ways of clearing a clogged lymphatic draining system, read about it here.

Another useful resource on what to do to better cleanse the lymphatic draining system. Do read this, its extremely useful. Since it is already put together so beautifully already, sharing it with you.

Digestive Tract, Skin, Immune System

That’s a trio and each one of them are dependent on the other for optimal functioning. Our immune system would get compromised if the other two are compromised in any way. The human body never ceases to amaze me. A mark of someone’s intelligence – glory be to our Creator!

Skin conditions such as rashes, hives, acne, eczema or psoriasis need to be healed from the inside. Topical applications can only soothe and suppress the symptoms. When it comes to skin issues, we need to dig deeper and respect the inner-outer connect that skin and our body organs have.

Calling upon the pillars of great skin, the liver, kidneys, digestive tract and the lymphatic system to support us all in keeping good skin, great skin, NATURALLY! May skin be our canvas and makeup its enhancer.

Can Supplements Really Improve Skin And Hair Health

Why Do You Need Hair And Skin Supplements?

Who says appearance is not so important? It is very important. After all, first impressions have already told the world some of your story when you walk into a meeting, or a social gathering. The confidence you exude comes from being well in mind and body. Feeling and looking good is a choice, a choice you do make, with your lifestyle.

We, as humans naturally choose to be healthy, but is it that simple ? Pressures of today’s times make it hard. Our basic needs of nutrition, a fair amount of exercise and adequate sleep are not easily available to us any more. I turned to Dr Rashmi Shetty to give us more insight into the topic.

Dr Rashmi Shetty is a celebrity dermatologist and an aesthetic medicine expert at RA Academy in Bombay, India. She is also the author of AGE ERASE, a very informative skin care book. You could check out her line of supplements for wellness and beauty here.

How Do Lifestyle Choices Affect Skin And Hair?

Firstly, oxidation (and the resultant oxidative stress) is a necessary and an unavoidable process that goes on in our bodies every single minute. It causes free radicals, which are nothing but oxygen containing molecules, with an uneven number of electrons. This uneven number of electrons allows them to react with other molecules and cause chemical chain reactions, leading to inflammation.

Wrong lifestyle choices in food and drink, smoking, alcohol, excessive stress and unregulated exercise, inadequate sleep, environmental toxins and cosmetics only add to the increase of free radicals…sometimes exponentially. This is where disease and aging set in; loss of hair and damaged skin are then a natural fallout. Several other skin issues like acne, pigmentation, rosacea, dermatitis, wrinkles and fine lines can crop up.

What Is Oxidative Stress ?

Nature has endowed our bodies with a natural defense mechanism in the form of antioxidants. They are molecules that can donate an electron to a free radical without making themselves unstable. This in turn stabilizes the free radical, making it less reactive and thereby inflammation is thereby controlled.

Oxidative stress occurs when there is an imbalance between free radicals and antioxidants. When there are more free radicals than there are antioxidants to keep them in check, they can damage fatty tissue, DNA and the proteins in our body. Cellular functions can get disrupted, leading to aging and cell death. When cells are on the decline, overall health, skin and hair go for a toss. This is where antioxidant supplementation becomes relevant.

Which Are The Most Important Antioxidants ?

Vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin A and beta-carotene. Other antioxidants include coenzyme Q10, alpha-lipoic acid and other colorful bioflavonoids. All these work in synergy with one another to disarm free radicals in different areas of the body. They have specific roles and some of them even help regenerate other antioxidants like glutathione, which is extremely important for protecting cells, tissues and organs of the body.

Where To Obtain Antioxidants From ?

It is impossible to completely eradicate free radicals, as it is a perennial process in our bodies. But what we can do,  is keep them under check with wise lifestyle choices. Increase our levels of antioxidants by including them in our daily diet and through supplements.

‘Eat five servings of fruits and vegetables every day’. You have been told this often, right ? Yes, most antioxidants can be naturally availed from fruits, vegetables and some seafood but, here is the catch. Agricultural and technological advancements have given us an abundance of food, but at the cost of nutrition. Processed and genetically modified foods have given rise to obesity. Use of pesticides and chemicals add toxins to our bodies. Result – a spurt in free radicals and the resulting inflammation.

But, there is a way out. Thankfully, years of scientific research has yielded us nutritional supplements, which are abundant in antioxidants.

How Do Supplements Help ?

In a big way ! As mentioned in the earlier paragraphs, wrong lifestyle choices trigger inflammation. You could be eating all the good foods, yet may not get the required levels of nutrition due to depleted nutrients.

In a world where flat abs and sinewy shoulders are an obsession, most people over-exercise, thereby sparking an increase in free radicals. Athletes, marathoners and extremely fit celebrities have succumbed to chronic degenerative diseases, all because over-produced free radicals are silent killers.

Sun exposure and other environmental toxins add to the damage.

Genes also play an important role in declining skin and hair health.

Enter supplements! They provide nutrients like vitamins, minerals, proteins, amino acids or other nutritional substances that may be lacking in the foods we eat. For cells to function optimally, targeted cellular health nutrients are essential, but the layman may not be aware of how much. That leads to deficiencies, which in turn affects the trillions of cells in our bodies.

Supplements are formulated scientifically to overcome such deficiencies and keep one in the pink of health. Ideally, good hair and skin are expressions of a ‘healthy you’ inside. But that generalisation does not hold good always.

Skin and hair are constantly exposed to environmental pollution today. Plus, they are directly affected when there are nutritional deficiencies. Supplements can set the balance right by providing the requisite antioxidants and other nutrients in appropriate dosages.

They help optimise our own natural defense system. In medical parlance, they are called preventive medicine. Taking nutritional supplements is not about eradicating disease ; it is about promoting vibrant health, hair and skin.

Among many other health benefits, enhanced immune system and an antioxidant defence system are two of the most important. They are the two pillars of support for a healthy body. It is also the best way to regain lost health. But of course, you must couple it with a healthy lifestyle – no two ways about it.

Supplements are usually ingested in capsule, tablet or liquid form.

At What Age Can Supplements Be Taken?

  • No hard and fast rule.
  • The moment you start feeling sluggish, fatigued or sick for prolonged periods.
  • The moment your skin and hair issues manifest.
  • See your family physician to begin with.
  • Consult a dermatologist if you have hair and skin issues in any part of your body.

Coupled with supplements, a good skincare and haircare would do wonders to enhance beauty. I personally take a few supplements, of which White Pine Pycnogenol is one of them. It has a whole lot of benefits, from boosting collagen and elasticity to increasing Hyaluronic Acid levels. Also included are photo damage remedies and is even known to reduce pigmentation. This supplement has been prescribed by my dermatologist and that is pretty reassuring.

Another one is Tor Bright, an anti-aging and powder supplement that also keeps hair shiny and nails strong.

I also keep an AM and a PM skincare regime which consists of deep cleansing, face mist, serums, moisturizers and sunscreen. I would love to discuss skincare and if anyone is keen on doing so, we could start a chat or discussion.

Just a word before I sign off and that is : do choose your supplements in consultation with your dermatologist and family physician, especially if you have any health concerns.

Ciao !

Gemstone Jewellery ‘Colours Of Spring’ Inspired By Singapore

There are times when all you need is a simple piece of jewellery to perk you up. Or add that dash of elegance to your ensemble. Heading out for an appointment and rummaging for a neck-chain that will make a statement? Yeah, sounds familiar to all of us.

Just what you are looking for are on display at The Sandalwood Room. Enchanting and elegant, these handcrafted neck-chains and bracelets have been curated carefully for the fashion-loving Singapore.

The collection is named ‘Colours Of Spring‘ and is in a way an ode to Singapore with its colourful skyline and architecture, but I see this stunning precious gemstone jewellery range as one that can be worn throughout the year. Crafted by Sitaram Jewels in 18k gold, these chains are one of their kind, no two pieces are alike. Perfect for those fashionistas that seek exclusivity with a passion.

Tourmaline Necklace

Multi hued Tourmaline necklace

This is what we mean by colours of spring. Enough to brighten up one’s day, this multi-hued tourmaline neck-chain comes with some healing properties too. But before that, just take a keen look at the gemstones in the chain. None shaped like any other, each cut differently. Details like this make Sitaram jewellery so unique.

Tourmaline is an inspiring stone known to enhance tolerance and understanding besides detoxifying our bodies. We must all have one piece of jewellery with tourmalines in it since detoxification is the need of the hour. It relieves stress, increases mental alertness, improves blood circulation and strengthens the immune system.

Amethyst and Aquamarine duo

Known also as a purification stone, it ● dispels negativity ● balances moods and instills inner calm ● stimulates romantic love ● heals the body of many afflictions ● helps prevent panic attacks ● promotes self realisation.

Why Chef’s Need to Stop Dissing Vegetarians — No Thyme to Waste

Its so absolutely true that vegetarians get a raw deal, pun intended. I loved Ashley Marie’s post and felt a connect to it immediately, reblogging it.

Read on for Ashley Marie’s post…….

Chances are if you know a vegetarian, are one yourself, or have ever worked in a professional kitchen – you’re well aware that when it comes to dining out: vegetarian plates are a throw away. Sure there’s the odd vegetarian restaurant that’s actually good (I mean, it’s a more ‘acceptable’ thing to be vegetarian these days) but […]

Handcrafted Trinket Boxes For Your Valuables That Let You Play With Decor

How To Add Colour To White Spaces

Life is all about boxes! I guess we have more boxes in our mind space than we have in our physical world. Tiny spaces for all our thoughts, memories and emotions. A small Eureka moment as I start writing about these pretty trinket boxes.

Trinket boxes were born out of nobility methinks. More so the elaborately decorated ones, going back to medieval times when the genteel placed the embellished boxes on their dressers for their brooches, pins and jewellery. We continue the habit or shall we call it a need, for the fascination for accessories has not ceased in the present times. Just that the trinket boxes are getting more functional and less decorative, making them disposable easily only to be replaced by fancier ones.

A bit of trivia : Did you know the most popular trinket boxes were created for the Russian Tsar from 1890s to early 1900s? And they were without doubt the most expensive, being studded with gold and precious gems. They came to be called the Faberge Eggs, named so after the royal jeweller Carl Faberge and were shaped like eggs. I cant help but post pics of two of the fabulously crafted Faberge Eggs.

The Imperial Coronation Egg, the most famous and iconic of all the Fabergé eggs.

Fabergé_egg_Rome_05

This grand Faberge Egg was made under the supervision of the Russian jeweller Peter Carl Fabergé in 1898 by Fabergé ateliers. It was presented to Tsar Nicholas II, who gifted it to the Tsaritsa, Empress Alexandra Fyodorovna.

Fabergé_egg_Rome_03

That was for the Royalty, now let’s get back to reality, our times. Here are a few trinket boxes from The Sandalwood Room that you and I can afford to have on our dressers, handcrafted and exclusive, not just serving their purpose but adding to the decor of the rooms. The Sandalwood Room gives tips on how to change the look of your rooms in small ways, but ones that are easy on the hands and the pockets. This campaign was born out of the need to liven up living spaces without having to get a fresh coat of paint to the walls or struggle with handymen. For homes in Singapore and many other regions, where walls come painted white most often. Where the only option is to add colour to the rooms with home decor accessories. Adding warmth through colours and textures. Sounds good.

Spinach Powder, The King of Super Foods

Hablis Hotel is close to the heart of the city, yet is a mere 10 minutes away from the airport. Is that the best of both worlds?

The hotel recently played host to about 20 ‘connoisseurs of food and fashion’ at their poolside-rooftop restaurant called HabLife Novella. The mention of any rooftop space raises expectations, but this one can really surprise you with its ambience of quiet beauty and warm décor.

Hablife Novella, the rooftop poolside restaurant at Hotel Hablis, my thought lane

Hablife Novella, the rooftop restaurant at Hotel Hablis

A quick tour of the sprawling open space of the restaurant was probably on the cards, but I refused to be rushed through. The place was far too magical to miss out on anything and as I traced my steps indulgently, the strong cool breeze ruffled my carefully styled hair completely, but I couldn’t care less. As the beauty of the place sunk into me, I knew why I had slipped into that feeling of peace and calm. The Five Elements were all there around me, earth, wind, water, space and fire. Ok, I must credit the kitchen too for contributing to the fire part along with the rustic wrought iron lamps on the tables, emanating a certain earthiness to the place.

Rooftop poolside fine dining restaurant HabLife Novella

Far from the madding crowd, under the starlit sky with water from the pool gently lapping against its sides and the city lights gleaming in the distance, HabLife Novella seemed like a haven. Add to it the soothing soft music. In fact, the ideal getaway for hard-core romantics. I shall reserve another slot for their food, it deserves a post dedicated to it. The Aqua-gym seen in the picture above is the first of its kind in the city. More about it another time after I try it out.

Well fed and satiated as we got up to leave, a bag of goodies came as a takeaway. Beautifully packaged, four little jar-boxes nestled against each other in a compact carton. Caraway Seeds, Spinach Powder, Dehydrated Blueberries and Melon seeds, fresh and organic I was told. Two aesthetically designed spice cards told the story of each ‘super-food’.

Spinach Powder and other super foods in a HabLife gift pack and stories about the goodies, my thought lane

HabLife giftpack , spinach powder, caraway seeds, melon seeds and dehydrated blueberries

I set out to tell the stories of all four, but clearly Spinach Powder emerged champion. There is oodles to write about the versatile spinach and so here we go…..

Do any of you think the cartoon sailor Popeye overdid it every time he ate spinach and gained super-human strength? You will not when you see how much of a nutrition-packed ‘power green’ spinach is. We are in a dynamic period of reinventing ourselves and by products like spinach powder are the gems that emerge out of hours of research and invention. All along we have been eating delicacies made of spinach leaves, we now have powdered spinach so that we have the ‘goodness of green’ handy all the time.

Why is Spinach Powder a Super Food?

An extremely potent source for antioxidants, chlorophyll, vitamins A, C, E, K, B2 and B6, magnesium, manganese, folate, iron, calcium, potassium, folic acid, phosphorus, zinc, niacin, selenium, omega-3 fatty acids, and the list goes on and on! Practically the most nutrient dense food product on the planet!

Its Health Benefits

The antioxidants and plant-derived omega-3 fatty acids in spinach powder help reduce inflammation in the body, lower the risks of certain types of cancer and heart disease, preserve and strengthen vision and boost the immune system. It is known to alleviate Irritable Bowel Syndrome effectively.

✅Storage Tips
  • Shelf life : 3 months. Buy in suitable quantities as per consumption at your homes.

Why You Can Find Convenience, Art and Elegance In Hand-made Drawstring Bags

A hand made gift elicits a wider and warmer smile almost always. And the recipient feels special. Rightfully so. Because it immediately translates into a lot of thought and care behind the gifting.

I was at the launch of hand-crafted hand bags at The Sandalwood Room and fell into conversation with the invitees. I love hand made products myself, but talking to the men AND women at the launch, got these responses to “why do you prefer ‘hand made’ over ‘mass-produced’”.

One of a kind

Specially designed

Original art

Eco-friendly

Recycled, so environment friendly

Encourage handicrafts

Support artisans

More to a product. There is love, creativity and uniqueness and it shows.

Speaks of your personality through the choice you have made.

True that. In keeping with it, I have featured a few hand crafted draw string bags from The Sandalwood Room. In India they are called Potli bags. All of them tell a tale of labour, finesse and creativity. I find them handy, convenient and elegant. They have enough room for a woman’s must-haves ; whats more important is that they are kind of hands-free. Just sling them around your forearm and you are good to go.

A stunning evening bag in red woven fabric, embellished with white bead work. The cluster of white pearl-beads adds a touch of drama and the draw strings just as pretty as the bag itself with gold coloured beads in its tassels. The inimitable kundan studs amidst the beadwork lending grandeur.

Five Boho-chic Looks, Mix & Match To Get Your Own Style

Is the Boho look in? When was it ever out? It is one style that will last as long as fashion does. Which means forever. The graph of this style is never steady though. It can wane and wax, but will still be the favourite of many a free-spirited, fashion-loving breed.

Boho quote

The Boho-look is one of my favourite styles. I could be wearing metal buttons all over or walking around in rugged boots, but feeling feminine, I will still. To me Bohemian Fashion Style is more of a state of mind, not just a look. It lets you

a)express yourself

b)connect with nature and the richest flavours of different cultures

c)lets you combine funky with the exotic.

So its casual, hip, ethnic and vintage in one shot. And its sexy! Explains why this look is close to so many hearts.

Add Chic to the Boho look and what you get is style and elegance. Fashion icons and Hollywood celebs Sienna Miller, Nicole Richie, Kate Moss and Vanessa Hudgens have given a certain freshness to the bohemian style with their glam and glitter. Indian actor Deepika Padukone flaunts the boho-chic like none other in her industry.

So I am now shopping couture in The Sandalwood Room, spoilt for choice. These four looks caught my fancy and I quickly saw that I could mix and match to my heart’s content. That is what is unique about the Anokhi, Kilol and Soma range , the staff of The Sandalwood Room tells me. I chuckled as I saw how beautifully these lines of apparel fit into my boho-style!

Comfort : The Boho style is as much about comfort as self-expression. Keep the clothing light and breezy. So wear what makes you feel good.

Don’t look too hard for the same jewelry as in the pic. The Sandalwood Room encourages you to stay unique just as they are. But I found some exciting silver jewelry that was similar.

Graceful: There is a sense of freedom in this flowy skirt and the crop top in keeping with the bohemian spirit.

Green complimenting the indigo in the skirt. Stunning.

Cut : Boho-chic for me is not always about bright colors and graphic prints. Check out this simpler bohemian look in one-tone, it’s rather the fabric and the cut that is giving the feel.

boho look - Organic khadi dress shibori scarf jacket the sandalwood room

Organic khadi dress with Shibori scarf and jacket in indigo

Hand woven organic khadi dress with indigo blue Shibori scarf and a jacket being flaunted casually. The jewelry is tribal art inspired in silver. A note about Shibori is in place here I think. Shibori is a Japanese tie-dying technique, using a variety of techniques in different shapes to make different patterns. The technique typically depends not only on the desired pattern, but the characteristics of the cloth being dyed.

Fabric : The single most important element of Bohemian clothing. Natural materials such as cotton, gauze, wool and leather mark the look.

boho look Crushed cotton skirt red quilted jacket the sandalwood room

Crushed cotton skirt and red quilted jacket

Pale green crushed cotton skirt with bright red quilted jacket and white cropped t-blouse. The little handmade cotton buttons on the jacket add a touch of drama.

Minimalistic is the mantra in this I guess.

Simple : Boho does not mean overdoing it. Keep it simple, this way.

Boho is also about layering. Slip on a long body hugging inner top, layer it with a subtle white shirt-dress and top it with a delicate lace jacket and you have a style of your own. The bright two toned paper jewelry enhancing the look.

I couldn’t help but notice that most of the apparel on the shelves of The Sandalwood Room were adorned with hand block printing. Juxtaposing traditional with the contemporary, just right for the boho-chic look. I am tempted to include a small note on hand block printing, I find the prints so alluring. But more on that in my next.

Wash & Care instructions for this cotton clothing:

Indigo tends to run. Vegetable dyes are likely to bleed, but will not catch on to other clothes. Like in Singapore, if your country uses treated water, dry-cleaning for the first wash is recommended.

Looking For Fine Dinnerware That Lasts, Singapore ?

The Sandalwood Room from Singapore brings Nishita Fine Dinnerware, resistant to chipping and scratching. With handcrafted embellishments for their discerning customers.

Do you remember how fiercely your mother and grandmother guarded their fine china, from the clumsy men and the careless brats of the house? And from the hands of the maids, who thought the dinnerware was merely plates and bowls to eat from?

You are likely to do the same. When you become the proud owners of Nishita Fine Dinnerware. I can already picture some of you running your hands fondly over your dinner plates, as you unpack your purchase. Anything so fine deserves a celebration and I can’t think of a better way than having people over. Conversations, aperitif wine, canapés, your favourite music and a lot of laughter. Sounds like perfect accompaniment to a dining table, so well laid.

So what first draws us all while shopping are the looks. With Nishita Fine Dinnerware, the elegant and unique designs arrest your eyes. I cannot but notice the exquisite artistry and workmanship, that gives a touch of class to their porcelain. Attention to detail is so evident and a closer look tells me the motifs are handcrafted. Making them timeless. Little wonder then I thought, that The Sandalwood Room displays them so proudly.

Fine detailing in crimson and gold

There is another buyer by my side now, one of those that leaves nothing to chance. I listen, as this smart staff of The Sandalwood Room explains how the use of Japanese technology gives the dinnerware a smooth, flawless glaze and refined translucency. The Japanese are masters at giving porcelain ware strength, hardness and toughness, which also explains for the dinnerware being resistant to chipping and scratching.

I hear the girl quoting Nishita Thakurdas, “An uncompromising attention to detail, quality and craftsmanship is the cornerstone of my dinnerware,”. Nishita Thakurdas is the founder of Nishita Fine Dinnerware. “Every individual piece has been handcrafted creating a harmony of elegance, artistry and impeccable quality”.

I accompany the buyer and we are both mesmerized by the sheer beauty of the Nishita Collection. ‘The Lotus at Fatehpur’ and ‘Jodhpur Evenings’.

The Lotus At Fatehpur

I am sure your guests will spend time admiring this splendid collection, before they help themselves to your delicacies. Reflecting the grandeur and richness of the Moghul era of ancient India, the collection seems like an homage to the majestic abode of emperor Akbar, in Fatehpur Sikri. Your guests may want to ask you more about the glory of Akbar – you can send them this link.

Each piece of the dinner set is handcrafted and embellished with 24k gold and luxurious crimson against pristine white porcelain, telling the tale of the Mughuls’ love for everything resplendent. The city of Fatehpur Sikri has most of its buildings in red stone and so is the symbolic use of red in this collection.

The complete dinner set comprises of 27 pieces – 6 dinner plates, 6 side plates, 6 bowls, 6 napkin rings, 2 serving bowls, and 1 platter

Jodhpur Evenings

The regal power of royal blue is timeless across all regions of the world. A romantic dinner for two, or a gala soiree, food certainly may taste better when eaten out of such a stylized collection. Intricate platinum edges crowning deep blue fit for royalty. Undertones of pure platinum making it perfect.

Watch your guests delight in the deep blue, the delicate arcs, the hidden hearts and the sweetly whispering birds. The Jodhpur Evenings series brings together strength and softness. Just like the Blue City , Jodhpur in Rajasthan, after which the collection has been named.

The complete dinner set comprises of 27 pieces – 6 dinner plates, 6 side plates, 6 bowls, 6 napkin rings, 2 serving bowls, and 1 platter.

We are surprised to hear that Nishita Fine Dinnerware is long-lasting. But then, so much care and detailing has gone into turning out such irresistible pieces, why would they not make them sturdy?

We are then told by The Sandalwood Room that this fine dinnerware, like all things fine, needs tender care. Sturdy it is, yet cannot be microwaved and dishwashed due to the gold and platinum ornamentation in it. We thought we should tell you this. After all, you are going cherish Nishita Fine Dinnerware.
